The Worshipful Company of Needlemakers goes live

The Worshipful Company of Needlemakers were granted livery in 1656 and was one of only two livery companies to be granted its charter by Oliver Cromwell.

The Worshipful Company of Needlemakers sprang from one of the original craft guilds. The Company was granted livery in 1656 and was one of only two livery companies to be granted its charter by Oliver Cromwell. Rich in history, the Company's aim is to dispense charitable funds to deserving causes, maintain links with the City and other livery companies and to support the Lord Mayor.

We were approached by The Worshipful Company of Needlemakers after a recommendation from a previous client, as they were very keen to refresh their existing and ‘very dated’ website.

We have built a bespoke Members section that can only be accessed by Liverymen, which allows members to login to the website and view the latest Worshipful Company news, notifications and upcoming events.

Although all of our websites are already fully responsive, part of the project specification from The Worshipful Company was to have a website that could be easily viewed on all devices, as they were keen to address the ever increasing amount of mobile traffic their site was receiving. Not a problem!

The website is very rich in content, so we wanted to provide our client with the easiest possible experience when making updates. The answer, of course, came in the form of Craft, the CMS we have used to build all our new projects since the end of last year.

We are very happy with the final results, as is our client.
