The new Enovate website is launched

Announcing the launch of the latest version of our very own website, welcome to the world Enovate.co.uk v4.

After almost a year of hard work squeezed into any spare time we get (which isn’t much) we’re delighted to announce the launch of the fourth iteration of our very own website.

The previous version of our site was looking a little behind the times, and being a company that’s all about the new and modern and lives on the bleeding edge of new web technology, we’ve rebuilt the entire site from the ground up.

As with all of our projects, the site is built with a combination of HTML Twig, Sass, jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX and PHP. And of course, at its foundation is our favourite content management system, Craft CMS.

We spent a great deal of time working on making our site as eye-catching as it can be. The redesign is packed to the rafters with subtle animations and tasty JavaScript goodies; check out the morphing SVG animations on our portfolio pages; see how the slides change between desktop, tablet and mobile devices as you click through. Another feature is the homepage portfolio tiles. There’s more to come as we’re already planning additional development phases, no resting on laurels here!

While redesigning our new site, we paid an incredible amount of attention and detail to accessibility. We thoroughly tested the site using a combination of screen-readers, keyboard navigation, colour blindness testing, cross-browser testing and JavaScript accessibility. As designers and developers it’s our responsibility to help create a web that is accessible for everyone and our new redesign is no exception.

The new technology and techniques we have learned in the process will be making their way into all our future redesign projects.

The project has been a real team effort with everyone pulling up their metaphorical sleeves and getting stuck in and we couldn’t be happier with how it’s turned out.

Sure, there were challenges at various stages; designing your own work is always the hardest, but the feedback we have received from clients, friends and family has been nothing but positive.
