Brief

It's not often we get the opportunity to work on a project with as much historical significance as this - Airport House, in Croydon, South London, being the first international airport in Britain and played a part in two world wars, record breaking flights and is credited as the birthplace of air traffic control.

The building itself is a beautiful example of art deco architecture but ceased operating as an airport in 1959 and is now one of London's premier serviced offices, serving over 200 clients with flexible office space.

We were approached by IYA Studio, the client's incumbent design consultant, who we've worked with successfully on a number of projects, with a brief to develop a new, modern, Craft CMS website to replace their existing website running on Wordpress.

What we did

What we did

The scope of the project was small but perfectly formed and involved the development of a number of page templates and their integration into Craft CMS.

The Airport House brand is subtle but memorable and a key requirement was to make use of the wealth of beautiful photography available that really showcases the unique and quirky nature of the building - a key selling point when pitching the various workspaces to potential clients.

The project went incredibly smoothly and was thoroughly enjoyable and genuinely fascinating to work on and all parties were delighted with the end result that's both visually engaging as well as informative and functional and has proved to be a huge leap forward from the previous site in terms of lead generation and conversion.
