Brief
Brief
The A6IP team commissioned us to design and develop a new website to promote the concept of Article 6 Implementation to existing partner countries and organisations as well as engaging with potential new organisations and countries and encouraging them to join.
The main elements of the project brief were the 'join us' and 'submit your event' systems that present to the user as online forms but in the back-end allow site admins to review submissions before approving them for publication on the site as well as an interactive map displayed on the homepage which highlights and links to dedicated pages for each partner country.
Beyond that the remaining requirements covered the design and development of a brand new website to be built on an easy-to-use content management system, making our preferred content management system, Craft CMS, the perfect fit.
What we did
What we did
The wireframing and design process was handled via Figma, an online design tool, following a detailed discovery phase to gather all the background knowledge we needed to make informed decisions. This allowed us to work in collaboration with the client and gather feedback on a page-by-page basis for easier and faster iteration.
Once all the necessary page templates had been designed we began the development phase, bringing the designs to life in the browser and making sure the responsive experience across a variety of devices was attractive, in an aesthetic sense, and reliable, from a functional point-of-view.
Once the site was built, as per the brief and the approved designs, we worked through a phase of feedback and amendments with the client to make minor the adjustments that are hard to anticipate before the site can be interacted with.
The finished site was launched on time and on budget, much to delight of the client, who premiered the site at an internal launch event within the Japanese Ministry of the Environment.
We're already working on a long list of additional features that the client has requested and can't wait to see how the site grows and evolves in the years ahead.
