Vital Assist commissioned us to design and build a new Shopify e-commerce website within a very tight timeframe, a challenge we were happy to accept given our experience with and knowledge of Shopify and how it's the perfect fit for e-commerce start-ups.
The initial product range was fairly small - just six products in total - and there was no existing web presence to be concerned with which removes complex tasks like users and orders migration, URL redirection, etc.
Branding and professional product photograph had already been completed so our task was to bring it all together in Shopify so they could start selling online as soon as possible.
What we did
What we did
For the purposes of speed, we used an off-the-shelf Shopify theme and tailored it to match the Vital Assist branding, bringing in things like brand colours, brand typography and making use of all the pre-built features Shopify provides - like email newsletter signup, socials, promotions and discounts.
The most challenging aspect of the project was the currency switcher to allow the store to trade in the UK and Ireland markets, which have differences in the way VAT is calculated and added to orders.
The site was up and running and taking orders in a matter of weeks and following their Shopify training the client has taken over full ownership and management of the store, even modifying the theme and adding a blog section without any assistance from us which demonstrates just how flexible and easy-to-use Shopify is.
